Someone suggested yesterday that because I said that I choose to invite a man with integrity, character, honesty, commitment to monogamy, emotional maturity, and the ability to love me wholly, unfettered by other entanglements into my life, that I was judgmental and even implied that I was not spiritually enlightened. They implied that if I didn’t accept lying, cheating, manipulative lovers into my existence, lovers with an abundance of negative traits, I didn’t understand the meaning of true love because lying, cheating, manipulative men were meant to teach me unconditional love and I was supposed to just experience the joy of them loving me to the best of their ability and not ask for more than that. FUCK THAT! I’ve loved lying, cheating, insincere men. I’ve loved more than my fair share of no good men. The way that I choose to invite the most joy that I can in my life is to manifest a partner who has a pathological commitment to the truth, who cherishes me as his partner and honors that by being faithful. I invite someone who mirrors what I bring to the table. If that is judgmental, if that shows that I’m not spiritually enlightened, then I am guilty as charged. I’m fine with that.
